Terry Koelker, Associate Terry has been with the firm since 1989 and has 20 years of experience in the industry. He has been co-owner of the company since 2005. He is the office project manager and oversees all aspects of the company in its day-to-day operations. He is in charge of job cost estimates used to prepare bids for potential projects. Terry works with clients to meet their needs for each particular project. His past experience includes subdivision design, land surveying and site design. He is a PLS in the State of Iowa (Professional Land Surveyor) and holds an associate's degree in mechanical technology from Northeast Iowa Community College. John Gantenbein, Associate John has been with the firm since 1996 and has 21 years of experience in the industry. He has been co-owner of the company since 2005. He specializes as a project engineer on WIDOT projects and is also responsible for design survey and construction staking on projects. John works with clients to respond to their needs and specializes in suggesting alternatives based on his experiences. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering - transportation from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville and is WIDOT HTCP certified in Aggregate Sampling and PCCTECH-I. Kenneth L. Buesing, Senior Project Engineer Ken founded the firm in 1985 and has 40 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in civil engineering and land surveying from project management, coordination, attendance at meetings for clients or anything that needs an experienced hand in engineering and/or surveying. He is licensed in engineering in Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan and land surveying in Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska. Deb McDonough, Office & Project Manager Deb has been with the firm since 1992 and has 30 years of experience in the industry. She specializes in business management and is our office and project manager. Deb provides a high level of administrative support. She establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships with clients and others. Deb works directly with principal engineers and surveyors to assure the project is completed in accordance with the City, County & Iowa Codes. She reviews the plat documents with clients and answers questions pertaining to their project. She holds an associate's degree in Fashion & Merchandising from Patricia Stevens Fashion & Merchandising College in Omaha, NE. She also holds certification in Business Administration & Management. Brad Banfield, Senior Project Leader Brad has been with the firm since 2006 and has 11 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in WISDOT Construction Management, WISDOT Materials oversight and Buesing's Wisconsin Growth Initiative. Brad works with clients to deliver projects on time and budget and minimize clients' critical exposure issues. He is licensed as a professional engineer in the State of Wisconsin. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from The University of Wisconsin - Platteville and is WIDOT HTCP certified in PCCTECH-I and Aggregate Sampling. Thomas P. Larsen, Project Manager Tom has been with the firm since 1990 and has 19 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in subdivision design, land surveying and site design. Tom works with clients to meet their needs for each particular project. He is an LSIT (Land Surveyor in Training) with the expectation of becoming a licensed PLS (Professional Land Surveyor). John Hermsen, Assistant Project Manager John has been with the firm since 1992 and has 17 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in land surveying and constructing staking. He can lead a surveying crew using GPS, robotic total station or conventional equipment and load the information collected into AutoCad and draw what is required for the project from start to finish. John is also in charge of testing and designing residential septic systems in Dubuque County. He coordinates the percolation testing of the sites with clients and aids the engineer in the design of the system. Kevin T. Schaub, Engineer in Training Kevin has been with the firm since 2006 and has three years of experience in the industry. He specializes in Wisconsin DOT highway projects, basic structural design and some surveying. Kevin works with DOT personnel to meet their needs for each particular project. He is an engineer in training by passing the Fundamentals of Engineering test with the expectation of becoming a licensed professional engineer. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville and is WIDOT HTCP certified in PCCTECH-I and Aggregate Sampling.
